What
is the AAYAT Leadership Program?

The Asian
American Youth Against Tobacco (AAYAT) Leadership Program is a one
year internship available to high school students (grades 9-11).
-
The internship
program teaches leadership and advocacy skills with a focus on
tobacco prevention in the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI)
community.

Accepted interns
will be required to attend one day summit at the beginning of the
program (tentatively scheduled March 18-19, 2006)

Interns receive a
monetary stipend for participation ($150 at the end of the
program).

Interested
applicants need to submit an application via mail.
Completed applications must include the following:

reference from a non-family member

40 interns will
be selected statewide from AAYAT’s five target cities of Akron,
Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus and Dayton.
